Promoting Productivity – with Miami Lighting Design
BrandStar’s new corporate headquarters presents numerous lighting challenges. One of them involves the so called bullpen area, where 54 employees will sit in cubicles surrounded by private offices that let in natural light. To ensure the workspace is both efficient and productive, host Kalyn Rothaus brings in lighting designer Alejandro Vargas from Miami Lighting Design. Tom Schumaker from Acuity Brands Lighting joins Office Spaces to help host, Kalyn Rothaus, create a practical, yet perfectly aesthetic, lighting solution. Kalyn’s requirements were that the lighting fixtures had to work with a previously selected ceiling grid, they had to be LED and energy efficient. Matt Moulton from Indoor Sky spends an afternoon with Office Spaces installing new office shades that solve the conflict between shading and daylighting.
